For Plant City residents facing a minor or major medical emergency, the Jim and Ruby Jean Redman Emergency Center provides an outstanding level of acute care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our modern, 36-bed Emergency Center (EC) can provide treatment for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions and is one of the largest and most technologically advanced in eastern Hillsborough County. We are capable of handling up to 72,000 visits per year.

Our emergency center offers convenient, efficient medical treatment for minor or major emergencies and illnesses including:

• Lacerations
• Sports injuries 
• Flu or related  
• Heart attack 
• Stroke symptoms

We treat both adults and pediatric patients, and our fast and friendly care is provided by physicians, registered nurses, patient care technicians and registration clerks who deliver the excellence the community expects from South Florida Baptist.

The center includes a radiology suite made up of X-ray, ultrasound and CT scanning used to diagnose everything from broken bones to strokes.

If patients seeking treatment require a higher level of care, we immediately move patients into the appropriate hospital department for more intensive critical care or surgical needs. All services are on-site for the fastest and best patient care possible.
